Growing Our Future (GOF) is a coalition of families, child care providers, and advocates working to build a stronger, more equitable Colorado.
We believe every family deserves access to affordable child care, strong schools, healthy communities, and the support they need to thrive.
That’s why we advocate for fair tax policies and investments that put families first.
Why It Matters

A fair tax system like a Graduated Income Tax could help Colorado invest in child care, education, health care, and thriving communities — while lowering taxes for most Coloradans.

- $20,000/year – The average cost of childcare per child, taking up 41% of a single parent’s income.
- 60% of kids under 5 – Are cared for by Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) providers because formal childcare is either too expensive or unavailable.
